A Night of Surrealism

  • BIZARRE Bushwick 12 Jefferson Street Brooklyn, NY, 11206 United States (map)

Join us for a voyage through the dreamscape, as The Flushing Remonstrance play their original live accompaniment to two classics of surrealist film.

Un Chien Andalou is Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dali's groundbreaking depiction of fetish, religion, and obsessive sexuality that forever changed the aesthetics of film.

Jean Cocteau's Le Sang d'un Poete (The Blood of a Poet) creates a haunting and mesmerizing collage of allegory and symbolism, dream imagery, and abstract effects that explore poetry, artistic creation, memory, death, and rebirth.
